Food Pantry

The Orange City Area Food Pantry is hosted by American Reformed Church and supported by 17 partner churches as well as numerous individuals and community businesses and organizations. Located in the lower level and accessible via a south entry from the parking lot, the Food Pantry serves an average of one family each week. Special distributions are made at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and mid-summer.

To receive groceries

Food Pantry groceries are available to anyone; people who feel they need to use the Pantry a second time are asked to bring a referral from their pastor, deacon, social worker, public health nurse or DHS agent. To visit the Food Pantry or refer someone for Food Pantry assistance, simply stop in Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or call the church office, 737-4430.

To volunteer

The Food Pantry invites volunteers to help sort grocery donations, stock shelves, prepare grocery sacks for distribution, and make deliveries to area families. In addition, the Food Pantry has its own plot in the Community Garden at ARC, so volunteer gardeners are also welcome. To volunteer, call the church office or contact:
